The mission of the SAE Foundation is to encourage and increase student achievement and participation in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to build a STEM-fluent workforce. Funds raised by the SAE Foundation support SAE International’s award-winning A World In Motion® (AWIM) program, Collegiate Design Series^TM (CDS), awards and scholarships.

Due to concerns around the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, SAE International and the SAE Foundation are working with all stakeholders to provide contingency plans and alternative solutions for all A World In Motion (AWIM) classroom deliveries, events and engagements for the remainder of 2023.

We are firmly committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our volunteers, teachers and students, and are taking precautions to follow all guidance from international health authorities, government- and corporate-imposed travel restrictions, as well as all restrictions imposed by schools and school districts for AWIM classroom activities.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this trying time. If you have specific questions about an AWIM activity you are engaged with, please reach out to awim@sae.org. If you have specific questions about funding, please reach out to foundation@sae.org.
